This trilobite is from the Chengjiang Shales, a famous lagerstatte that has soft bodied preservation of many arthropods, worms, and other creatures that don't normally get fossilized. The earliest known fish are from that location. As usual the carapace of the trilobite is preserved but there is also something you don't usually see -- preserved antennae.

Your brain may perceive this trilobite as being in a well but it is actually on a pedestal. The preparator removed the surrounding rock, the better to delineate the boundary of this thin shelled trilobite.
