Like other members of its family, this was a burrowing trilobite, with small eyes, a concave face, and a smooth carapace.
In life this species had a high domed carapace. But when it was fossilized the carapace typically got flattened and spread out while the edges were stuck in the mud. The result is that near the edges of the carapace there are 90 degree breaks.
