This trilobite was a surprise. It's an inexpensive proetid with apparently average preparation that I bought to round out the proetid collection. But when photographing it I found that the lenses of the eyes are better preserved than on any other proetid I have other than Phaetonellus planicauda, which has equally good eye lens preservation.
