There are two specimens, a and b, with labels TR079a and TR079b. *The formation for specimen a was given as "Latham Shale, Bristolia insolens bed", and the formation for specimen b was given as "Latham Shale, bottom layer". Specimen a has very well preserved shell and excellent preparation that highlights the trilobite by exposing lighter rock around the border. Unfortunately the telson is missing.
Specimen b is complete with the telson although the shell preservation and preparation aren't quite as nice. The macropleural spines are longer in specimen b than in specimen a, this is apparently normal variation within the species.
